Following the success of UOK Robot Battles 2K25, which attracted more than 100 teams across multiple categories, the Electronics and Computer Science Club of the University of Kelaniya presents UOK Robot Games 2K26.

The 2026 edition expands the competition into a multi-event robotics experience featuring Robot Battle and Robot Race, providing participants with opportunities to demonstrate their skills in robotics, automation, engineering, and practical problem-solving.

Robot Battle

The Robot Battle is a public event open to participants from universities, schools, and the general public across Sri Lanka. Teams can consist of up to five members.

The competition consists of battle-bot matches where two robots compete in an arena. A match is won when a robot successfully pushes its opponent into the pit or renders it unable to move. The competition focuses on robot design, strength, control, and strategy.

The Robot Battle will feature two categories:

• Heavy-Weight - Max weight 20 KG, dimensions 45cm × 45cm
• Light-Weight - Max weight 2.5 KG, dimensions 25cm × 25cm

Robot Race

The Robot Race is an open Inter-University and Inter-School competition focusing on programming, automation, accuracy, and task completion.

Participants must develop a robot capable of completing a sequence of challenges:

• Line Following
• Pick & Place with Color Detection
• Wall Following

The competition evaluates accuracy, task completion, speed, and stability, encouraging participants to develop efficient and reliable robotic solutions.
