The International Conference on Business and Information (ICBI), the flagship academic event organized by the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies at the University of Kelaniya, will mark its 17th edition on November 19, 2026. ICBI 2026 brings together a global community of academics, researchers, industry professionals, and policymakers to share research insights and tackle pressing challenges across management, business, and interdisciplinary domains.

Key Highlights of ICBI 2025
SDG Youth Challenge
In an effort to inspire the next generation to keep pursuing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies of the University of Kelaniya is hosting the SDG Youth Challenge in line with ICBI 2024. SDG Youth Challenge 2024 provides young Sri Lankans with a powerful platform to create cross-border, sustainable solutions to local problems to advance the SDGs from the ground up.
3MT Competition
Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) is a competition developed by The University of Queensland (UQ).The Three Minute Thesis competition is a platform for confirmed Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) students to present their research in three minutes, in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience and develop their academic, presentation, and research communication skills.
Postgraduate Colloquium
Postgraduate Colloquium provides an important opportunity for Postgraduate students to present their work-in-progress to a distinguished academic panel, and to receive helpful feedback. The panel consists of highly experienced researchers who are able to offer important advice on the subject, methodology, and approach.
