About ICARE 2022

The ICARE is a forum for knowledge advancement on new developments and changes in the accounting profession and education. The conference aims to bring together academics and practitioners in the field of accounting in order to provide an unparalleled opportunity for economic revival through a meaningful interaction between the academia and the industry professionals. The ICARE 2022 will be conducted under the theme of "Accountants' Role in Economic Revival”.

The conference has three segments as; technical forum, ICARE magazine, and student conference. The purpose of the technical forum is to create a platform for an eminent panel of speakers to stimulate discussion on policy making towards improving the economy in Sri Lanka. The ICARE magazine will address corporate strategies of businesses in economic revival.

Technical Forum

The purpose of the technical forum is to create a platform for an eminent panel of speakers to stimulate intellectual curiosity and question how businesses are being conducted to explore the adoption of new business practices that may be needed in these economically challenging times. The technical forum of ICARE 2022 will be conducted by focusing on “Policy Making to Improve the Economy of Sri Lanka”.

ICARE Magazine

ICARE magazine aims at creating a blend of views of the personnel from the industry, audit firms and professional bodies on their corporate strategies formulated for Economic Revival. The ICARE Magazine 2022 contains a combination of interviews conducted with various parties and technical papers.

Student Conference

Three main events will be conducted under the student conference which are: Students’ Abstract Book publication which is based on the theses of fourth year undergraduates, 5 Minute Research Challenge and Digital Poster Presentation by third year undergraduates based on their theses proposal.
