The Doctoral Consortium

The first ever Doctoral Consortium is scheduled on 17th November 2017.

The Doctoral Consortium provides an opportunity for current and potential doctoral students to explore and to develop their research interests in an interdisciplinary session, under the guidance of a panel of distinguished researchers and peers. We invite students who feel they would benefit from this kind of feedback on their dissertation work to apply for this unique opportunity to share their work with other PhD students as well as senior scholars in the field. The Doctoral Consortium has the following objectives:

  • To provide a setting where doctoral students can present their work and network with other PhD students and new scholars.
  • To provide feedback on doctoral students’ current research and guidance on future research directions.
  • To offer each doctoral student personalized constructive feedback and advice on their work from distinguished researchers, peers and doctoral students outside their own institution.
  • To promote the development of a supportive community of scholars and a spirit of collaborative research.
  • To contribute to the conference goals through interaction with other researchers and conference events.
