RESEARCH & ACADEMIC COLLABORATION PROGRAM
(RACP)

Uncertainty modeling is an area of Statistics and Computer Science that focuses on studying and describing systems in the real world using mathematical/statistical concepts and simulation. It is widely used in the Natural Sciences, Engineering, Social Sciences and Finance/Economics. Due to globalization, there is a growing need for computational models, efficient simulations and optimization of existing dynamical processes. This increasing demand has caused mathematical/statistical modeling as a whole, to be more attractive to both graduate and undergraduate students as well as to young researchers. Therefore, under the guidance and support of the Visiting Fellowship Program, Department of Statistics & Computer Science, University of Kelaniya has organized a Research & Academic Coloration Program (RACP) to discuss and share knowledge in uncertainty modeling.
